Robert C. Runyan, age 71, life time resident of Livingston County, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2012 at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. He was born January 12, 1941 Flint, MI, the son of Daniel and Mildred (Bell) Runyan. Beloved husband of Bonnie M. (Graybeal) Runyan whom he married in Hartland in 1960. Dear father of Scot (Bronda) Runyan, Timothy (Theresa) Runyan and Janice (Don) Spezia. Also survived by four grandchildren, Jared & Evan Runyan, Jackie and Jon Spezia with honorable mention going to Shelby Fisher; brother, Richard (Jean) of Lewiston and sister, Sharie (Bill) of Byron; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Carol & Judy and his oldest son, Dan. Bob served in the U.S. Army and was retired from General Motors; he was an avid hunter and proprietor of Runyan family farm for 24 years where he raised three sons. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Hidden Spring Church, 5860 N. Latson Road, Howell at 12:00 noon, followed by a luncheon. Visitation will be Monday, December 31 from 2-6 p.m. at MacDonald’s Funeral Home, Howell (517-546-2800).
