David C. Schwocho, age 73 of Howell, passed away at his home on Saturday, December 29, 2012. Born in Detroit on October 10, 1939, he was the son of Ralph and Eleanor (Egan) Schwocho. A Howell resident since 1995, David was formerly of Allen Park. He was a retired driver for U.P.S. in the Taylor/Allen Park area and was a talented magician who often performed for Make-A-Wish. He loved fishing, camping, gardening and planting trees. Beloved husband of Elaine (Gaskell) Schwocho whom he married in Detroit on June 20, 1959. Loving father of Debra (Mark) Pittman of Howell, Mary Anne (Ron) Froehlich of Lima, Ohio and Becky (Bob) Flynn of Howell. Proud and loving grandfather of Stephanie (Dan) Charette, Rachael Pittman, Joe (Mary Anne) Froehlich, Josh (Renee) Froehlich, Amanda (Jeff) Thatcher, Justin Flynn and Jordan Flynn; great-grandson, Jackson Froehlich. David is also survived by his beloved cat, Harry Houdini. Loving son-in-law of the late Albert and late Mary Anne Gaskell. Funeral services will be held Monday, 2 p.m. at MacDonald’s Funeral Home, Howell (517-546-2800) with the family receiving friends from 12 noon until service time. Memorial contributions are suggested to the University of Michigan Cancer Center.
