Lawrence Joseph Mullaney, age 75 of Howell passed away at Four Seasons Assisted Living Adult Foster Care Home in Webberville on Thursday, April 12, 2012. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 12, 1936 son of Joseph Lawrence and Mildred Molly (Bruce) Mullaney. He is survived by his former wife, Jacqueline Mullaney and children: Troy and Michelle (Tucker) Mullaney, John Mullaney, Becky and Tom Seton, Jean and Samir Mazahem, Jim Mullaney, and Chester Mullaney. He is also survived by brother Gerald Mullaney as well as grandchildren Nicholas and Abbigail Mullaney; Justin and Tiffany Seton; Sera, Maya, Amber, Samer and Maher Mazahem; and Joseph and Devin Perjak. Larry is also survived by his former mother-in-law Evelyn Rogers as well as good friends Cecilia Pachmayer and Susan Grimes Width. Larry studied engineering at the University of Detroit and was an engineer for Michigan Bell for almost 40 years during which time he served eleven years in the Michigan National Guard. A man of many interests, upon retirement he completed his Bachelor Degree at Sienna Heights University and then served two terms as a Peace Corp volunteer in Ukraine later returning there as a business consultant to the City of Ivano-Frankivsk. Visitation will be at St. Agnes Catholic Church on Tuesday, April 17 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by the funeral mass, burial in Lakeview Cemetery in Howell. Arrangements are being handled by MacDonald’s Funeral Home, Howell (517-546-2800).
